Unfortunately, Jennifer Steinkamp’s exhibit at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery is coming to an end, as of June 29.
On exhibit since March 21, it’s been a very popular attraction for Buffalonians. Steinkamp even has two pieces on permanent display at the gallery. Steinkamp is an installation artist who works with video and new media. Her pieces explore motion and perception as they project 3-D images that are visually stimulating and often described as psychedelic.
If you want to view the full exhibit before it ends, tomorrow, Friday, June 27, would be a good night to stop by the gallery, when you can also enjoy all of the Gusto at the Gallery events. Gusto at the Gallery offers free admission to the public on Fridays, 3-10 PM.
In addition to viewing Steinkamp’s exhibit, Gusto at the Gallery is hosting A Salute To Black Music Month as part of Gusto. This celebration of music will include a showing of the movie Ray (Charles, that is) and concerts by Rey Scott & Co. and The Rodney Appleby Band.
