I received an email from Matt Carlucci, one of the volunteers working with Re-TreeWNY
this weekend as the Spring 2008 planting activities continue all this weekend. Saturday volunteers will be working throughout the city, and Sunday Matt is organizing efforts in South Buffalo.

This Sunday (5/4) at 8 AM, I am working with RetreeWNY to plant over 50 trees
in the South Buffalo area. At this same time, other volunteers will be planting
over 2,000 trees all across WNY! We already have a few volunteers but we could
definitely use more. If you are able to dig a hole, you can help. It doesn’t
have to be you either. Send your kids, your nieces, nephews, uncles, husbands,
etc. I can’t guarantee a specific time frame, but the more volunteers we have,
the less time it will take. If you have a son or daughter that needs to do
community service for school/confirmation/court etc. this is a great
opportunity.
If you are someone who would like to help or you know someone else who would,
send me an email and I’ll make sure you get the proper information as to where
to go and when.
I appreciate your help!

Feel free to add a comment to the following thread… let people know where and when to meet. The photo shows Riverkeeper members getting organized for a massive tree planting along the Scajaquada Creek on Sunday.
