Since its move from down the street, Anna Grace, now located at 799 Elmwood has been enjoying better business. Now located on the storefront, the shop’s owner, Joanne, says that “traffic has been great.” And the increased traffic isn’t the only good thing. The store has a great minimalist look. Racks are filled with simple, yet timeless pieces, in a relaxing environment that lets the clothes speak for themselves.
For those with a clean and classically minded sense of style, Anna Grace has a standout selection of summer’s best looks. The shop has a fresh assortment of tees, flirty dresses, and denim with prices ranging from around $40 for the tees to around $150 for most dresses and denim.
Joanne says that the most popular line they sell is Frenzy, which does a lot of eye-catching jersey pieces. Also popular are the lines Talla and Weston Wear. Talla has been getting a lot of press recently for their celeb popularity, with the line being featured in a number of magazines such as In Touch, and Lucky. The line is full of vibrant colors and patterns, which makes sense as the San Francisco based designer Talla Wesely says she’s obsessed with prints and repetition found in nature. If you find a great piece in the store that’s not in your size, check out http://www.talladesign.com/shop.html for a wider selection.
Also unique to Anna Grace are their assortment of Matt & Nat vegan handbags. The line was founded in Montreal in the late ’90s in response to the growing demand for environmental awareness and cruelty-free fashion. Matt & Nat purses use only synthetic materials, but you’d never guess by looking at them. With a new line of synthetic leather footwear in the works, hopefully we’ll see their debut soon at Anna Grace.
