Operators of the Casino Career Training Center are betting on the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino coming to fruition. According to today’s Buffalo News, the privately run school is planning to lease space in an existing building on East Market Street across from the Seneca’s proposed casino site. The Center is relocating from 1685 Elmwood Avenue in north Buffalo.
The Center trains casino dealers, poker dealers, blackjack dealers and teaches craps and roulette in classes that last five weeks long. From the Center’s website:
The Casino Career Training Center WELCOMES you to the exciting, glamorous and fast paced world of casino gaming. Imagine the fulfillment of a lifetime fantasy as a dealer in a well-known casino as you prepare for an exciting career… Learn to deal cards, cut cheques (chips), control the pace of the game, game protection and much more.
Years of gaming experience has shown that the skills necessary to enter the gaming field can be mastered by men and women with normal intelligence, dexterity and the ability to perform simple arithmetic functions. Casino Career Training Center courses are also open to individuals interested in improving personal skills and increasing enjoyment of casino gaming. Our training programs are designed to develop specific skills, disciplines and the self-confidence necessary to be a professional dealer by familiarizing students with many situations they may encounter when dealing in a casino. With a policy of individual attention, students are graded on both practical skills and comprehension of gaming concepts.
The Casino Career Training Center is licensed by the University Of New York State Education Department’s private school license. They also operate a facility in Olean in the southern tier.
