Looking for a professional stylists and makeup artist in one unique atmosphere? Then make your appointment today to experience the work of an artist that not only cares about the look of his clients… he also cares abou the look of his studio. Owner, Andrew Brown opened Rouge four years ago on Elmwood Avenue because of its artsy and lively feel. And the Elmwood Village fits perfectly with the store. For example, take a look at how festive this salon looks for Halloween… Only on Elmwood! Every year at this time Andrew and his salon treat the city to a spectacularly spooky house. It’s paople like Andrew who make driving or walking down the avenue a real ‘scream’.
If you think the outside looks like a lot of fun, then just take a lookm inside the salon. Upon entering the front door, I was greeted by a creepy looking Igor-type man, Freddy, and leatherface. The entire salon is decked out with small and large decorations- skeletons, spiders, decapitated heads, dismembered hands and arms n all ready to grab you.
Back to the Salon… full service spa, massages, anti-cellulite, manicures, hair and makeup are many of the services offered. Andrew has experience doing makeup for actors in the theater scene, works with models for fashion shoots, and after watching him work on a local model during this interview, I can see just how good of an artist he really is. This is definitely the place to go for a total makeover. With such popularity, an appointment is strongly recommended. Open Tuesday-Saturday 9am-9pm.
