Vincent’s Just Pasta Plus

Vincent Gagliardo, the new owner of Vincent’s Just Pasta Plus, is proud of the ideas and changes he has brought to the popular Italian restaurant. The new venture is all about following what he knows best: authentic food, good value and family tradition.

Gagliardo grew up working in his family’s Italian restaurant in Niagara Falls. Realizing his passion for the culinary arts, he enrolled at Johnson & Wales in Charleston, South Carolina. Gagliardo excelled in soups and sauces, and enjoyed taking some traditional family recipes to the next level. He continued his studies back home at Niagara University, where he earned a degree in Restaurant / Hotel Management.

Armed with extensive professional training, and with a good idea of the sights, sounds, and smells he enjoyed, Gagliardo began his search for the perfect location for his own restaurant venture. “My family and I wanted to open a neighborhood meeting place, an affordable destination with a warm, homey feeling and relaxed, welcoming atmosphere,”he explains.
The entire Gagliardo family agreed the present location – right off the Elmwood Strip – primarily because, in Vincent’s words, “it has a different attitude about it. This neighborhood is exciting and vibrant. The locals tend to like to savor their food and drink.”
The menu features high-quality food (Vincent’s no-carb Zucchini Supreme won Best Vegetarian Dish at last year’s Taste of Buffalo) paired with an artsy, whimsical ambiance.
The most major physical change to the structure has been the demolition of a partition wall in the bar area. This removal improves the room’s openness, as well as makes possible the new beer cooler and expanded bottle selection.
Above the bar, Vince’s collection of beer steins decorates the space between two huge new flat screen TVs. The stunning wood bar was extended and hand stained with the help of Vincent’s mother, Theresa. She also antiqued the already-painted brick and tin moldings.
Despite these improvements, the focus is on the food: real, traditional Italian food. Sausage, ravioli, gnocchi, soups, breads, desserts, and gelato: all hand-made on the premises by Vincent and his family.
Stop in for lunch or dinner and choose from specialty pizzas or veal ezio and dine on the large covered patio (all areas are handicapped accessible). Prices are very reasonable and not only include side dishes and a salad, but also entertainment: “I like to sing the classics,”hinted Vincent. So don’t be surprised if you see him burst from the kitchen to pay tribute to Dean Martin.
