depARTure Student Art Show – May 7 & 8, Noon-5pm – The Williamsville Art Teachers of the SCVA (Student Celebration of the Visual Arts) and the Central Terminal Restoration Corporation (CTRC) will be displaying student submissions of painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media with themes of their choice, or themes depicting the Buffalo Central Terminal, trains and railroads, or the City of Buffalo. The winning entries will be on display at the terminal until August 27th. Food and beverages will be for sale.
A side note from Mike Miller:
All are welcome to attend the grand unveiling of the original Central Terminal clock at our press conference at the Terminal on Tuesday, May 10th at 10AM. Having witnessed the installation, I can tell you that it is back in its original location, and its 13 feet of gold cast iron magnificence gives new life to the concourse. We are also working on an exact replica of the original steel railings that ran along the mezzanine balconies. We’re hoping to have them installed before the summer season starts. There IS life and activity in the old girl yet!
So, please join us on the 10th or at one of our events this season. Hope to see you all there! Mike Miller Treasurer Central Terminal Restoration Corp.
