It's sooo much more than chocolate!

Now that New Era has opened up shop in downtown Buffalo, it's up to customers to forage for food after a shopping spree. Brian, part of the Street Crew at New Era, asked us where we were going to snag some food and we told him that we were undecided. Have you eaten at The Chocolate Bar?" he asked us. I told him that I had, but my friend had not. "It's the best place around, you should check it out again." That's all it took for us to go for it.

We walked over to Chippewa and stepped inside the restaurant. Once inside we pointed to a window seat and surfed the menu. While we were scoping the selections we pulled out a laptop to see whether we could tap into a WiFi source. Score! We managed to pull up a strong signal with no password required, then ordered a couple beers to celebrate the city's retail achievement.

Now, check this out... as we all know, The Chocolate Bar specializes in killer Butterwood desserts, but did you know that the eatery has the best peanut butter, banana and honey toasted panini sandwich on the planet? OMG, it is absolutely delicious. So good that I will be dreaming about it tonight. The three-cheese and tomato panini sandwich was also very good (my late lunch girlfriend friend says amazing). And to top it off we added a side of pasta salad to the order and were amazed to find that it was piled so high that we have sworn off dinner. Now back to the grilled peanut butter, banana and honey sandwich. It's definitely not your every day meal that you will find at a nice restaurant... and that's what makes it so special. It was such a welcome surprise to find a fun option that made us feel like we were couple of kids again. To wash the sandwich down with a beer was a bit devilish too.

The server was so cool. He made the lunch even better. And my date was so excited to see Willy Wonka playing on a flat-screen in the lady's room. Unfortunately the water fountain was not operational today. Normally the sounds of falling water are so relaxing and tranquil. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks for the suggestion Brian.

Money says you were tapping into the Spot Coffee wifi.

Chocolate Bar is awesome, its the kind of place that can anchor an entertainment district.

I'm so glad you all reviewed Chocolate Bar again for the food....one of our favorites is the roasted red pepper soup. The prices for food are good and the late hours great.. We've never even gotten to the desserts we are so full after our meal!

The best part is where he uses the abrev. OMG to describe a food that is basically peanut butter on bread.

The second best part is where the reviewer spends a fifth of the article reviewing the wi-fi service that the city offers rather than any quality that the restaurant might possess.

Also, I love--absolutely love-- how this is another glowing review. It is so refreshing that everything is so positive and bubbly. It's just SO great that Buffalo Rising doesn't ever find fault with anything; I mean, it can be real troubling to start reading an article and not immediately know how it will turn out.

We are just so lucky to have such a discerning eye to point out how great everything is!
