Want to enjoy great food in a great location with the stars? Then try the Bijou Grille at 643 Main St. in the heart of the Theatre District. The Bijou Grille is the longest running restaurant on this end of Main St., celebrating its 15th Anniversary this year. While there, you may run into a celebrity or two… sightings of Liza Minnelli, Debbie Reynolds, and others from the nearby theatres are not uncommon. Celebs have been dining and enjoying the Bijou since its opening in 1991.

Dishes with different takes on Crab Cakes, Chicken Parmesan, Pasta, Apple Crisp, and Ice Cream Caramel make the dining experience special. Impressive Main Street views along with a friendly staff - Bijou makes every guest want come back for 'the real' downtown experience.
Need a place to have a private party, wedding reception, or corporate event? The Bijou Grille can cater any event for you on its second floor Club Level, which opened in 1995. The Club Level offers grand views of Shea’s Buffalo Theatre in an inviting dining room. Details of Frank Lloyd Wright designs can be found on the chairs and walls and a private kitchen on the floor (with your very own staff) makes any special occasion worth while here.
Owner Bea Militello says that the secret to her long running establishment is her experience in the restaurant business (over 30 years) as well as: knowing downtown, having a great staff (some have been employed with her since opening), being a family owned business, and offering person-to-person relationships with guests. The theatre crowd, local office workers and a growing number of downtown residents and visitors all help to ensure that this establishment remains open.

The owners of Bijou should coach other would-be restaurateurs on how to make it on Main Street. The number of establishments that have come and gone in the Theater District is astounding. Bijou is an anchor.
GC- no mention of their appearance on The Bachelor? :-)
Bea is a force of nature, and she runs an amazingly good restaurant and a very tight ship (so to speak). Her success is mainly a matter of quality and tenacity, and also targeted opening and closing times.
Have the meatballs, they're the best I've ever had!
