Satisfy your sweet tooth at Sweet Tooth!

Sweet Tooth, located at 478 Elmwood Avenue, is one of my favorite spots in Buffalo. It's the perfect spot for everything from a sundae on a beautiful summer night to a gathering spot with good friends.

What makes it so perfect? It's the fact that everything is perfect! The ice cream is delicious, the desserts are extraordinary, and the candy is wonderfully decadent. I thought my affection for this place meant that I knew everything there was to know and love about it, but I made a discovery yesterday: the pastry hearts are absolutely delicious! I'm not generally a fan of pastry hearts because they're a little too sweet -- but these are (guess what?) perfect!

The picture? Truffles. The reason? They look delicious and I've never tried them. That's the next trip, I guess.

Mmmmmmmmm! Those look soooooo good! I remember when Sweet Tooth and Quaker Bonnett were th on ly places around. Now there are so many choices. I'm glad to see that Sweet Tooth still holds their own!

God bless Sweet tooth for fostering my cookie addiction over the years. That said, I think the place is in serious need of a makeover. The flourescent lights and the worn plastic furniture just don't make it an inviting place to be. The desserts are ordinary and could use sprucing up too. I think many more people would spend time there if it were more attractive, and that stretch of Elmwood needs a coffee place. But I worship the smile cookies and the wonderful friendly staff.

Sweet Tooth created our wedding cake this past summer and did a SUPERB job. It was exactly as we envisioned. Their prices were competitive which was a plus on our modest budget, and our guests loved it. We took the owner's suggestion and passed on saving the top tier for freezing (never liked that tradition anyway). We will call on them to make us a fresh one-tier cake for our first anniversary.
