There is nothing, nothing like the taste of an heirloom tomato right off the vine. It’s vastly similar to seeing a 6-foot waterfall and thinking it’s majestic without even knowing Niagara Falls exists. Hyperbole you say? It’s hard to describe. With words. If you live in the city and get some sun in your space, you can grow these tomatoes from a pot. When they come, not only will you feel good about growing your own food, this will taste so good you’ll forever be spoiled. But it’s good to be spoiled isn’t it?
A west side collaborative group will be selling tomatoes this Saturday. Stop by, pick some up, add water and let the sun grow a tomato that will change the way you think of tomatoes. A buyer’s club initiative from the people of the Urban Roots Community Garden Center. When: June 3rd, 10am-2pm. Where: Where Utica meets Rhode Island
