Go Back... In Style

The fashions on the runways and in the magazines these days look an awful lot like those of times gone by. Vintage clothing and jewelry are becoming the hottest looks out there, as designers look back and find influence in the great styles of the past. You're probably more likely now to find a woman strolling down the street looking like she came out of a 1970's Vogue than a Gap magazine.
While many of the new designs look much like the old, there's something to be said about owning a peice of clothing with history. It's an amazing feeling to find that perfect jacket or dress, that lived for so long on another person, in another time. It's not just a peice of clothing, it's a peice of history, and you're welcoming it back into daily life where it can be shown off with as much pride as its original owner.
Luckily for us Buffalonians, we've got quite a few vintage clothing stores that offer up some of the best preserved fashions around. The ladies at Divine Finds even travel the world looking for truly unique peices that they then rent or sell for customers to enjoy. Last weekend's fashion show showed off some of the best these stores had to offer. If you missed it, it's time to go check them out, and take back a peice of history to keep in your own closet.
