Cone Five Pottery Offers Winter Classes

studio.jpg
Cone Five was founded in 1998 by artist Greg Link; first place winner in the clay category at the 2001 Allentown Art Festival. In 2002 he opened his retail location, enabling him to sell his pieces and teach classes.

In November, Cone Five offers adults and children alike the opportunity to take classes. This presents a wonderful opportunity for those that would like to learn the art of pottery. This may also be a chance to handcraft a gift for that special someone. If you already have pottery skills, Cone Five also offers open studio hours at only $75.00 a month (not including firing fees). Last but not least, if the idea of pottery intimidates you, purchasing a piece of Greg’s beautiful work is an equally thoughtful gift.

Cone Five’s website offers the following information regarding classes:

“Learn basic pottery techniques including hand building, throwing on the potters’ wheel, trimming and glazing techniques. Classes range from beginner to advanced level students, however no experience is necessary. Small class size will insure students receive individual attention. Pottery classes are offered on Tuesday nights or Saturday mornings. Pottery classes are two and half-hours long and run for six consecutive weeks. The cost is $220.00, which includes all material and firing fees.”
