East End Salon On Allen Street
Allen Street is about to get shorn of yet one more vacant storefront. The East End Salon, 95 Allen Street, an upscale styling salon, is scheduled to open any day now.
According to owner Patrick Monfort, a veteran of the Buffalo and Portland, Maine, salon scenes and former stylist with nearby Yvette LeClerc salon, patrons of the new business will find their grooming needs met by three stylists, including Monfort himself. Services will include facial waxing and hair styling, and Monfort plans to offer a line of hemp-based styling products not found anywhere else in town.
Located near the corner of Delaware (east of Delaware, of course), the salon occupies a spacious, high-ceilinged room that, according to Monfort, embodies the archetype of what a hair salon should be.
“As soon as I heard this space was available,” said Monfort, “I thought, ‘I have to be in there‘. It’s going to be an urban atmosphere for hair -- you’re going to come here for comfort and necessities.”

Another friendly business in Allentown!! With the hotels, condos, and strip malls on Elmwood( is this East Amherst, maybe?) it's nice to see Allentown is keeping its local friendly charm. No, gentrification here! I had lunch, got a great haircut(at East End by the way), and met friends for coffee all in the same block!!
Allen St. is what Elmwood used to be.................and I like what I see!!!!

Thank God you finally opened Patrick. I recently visited this stylish salon and Patrick is the only stylist I have found that can actually thin my hair into a fantastic cut. My hair is extremely thick and it has been almost impossible to find soneone who can cut it right..

What a fantastic new addition to Allen Town Patrick Montfort's new Salon is just what that area needed a stylish Salon conveniently located that adds a upscale feel to a favorite Buffalo neighborhood.
Just got a great hair cut from Patrick. No less than 10 compliments on my hair in the first day!!! Love the citrus smelling hair products.
