Allentown Heroes!
![]()
Looks like Hero Design has found a new home in Allentown. That means that the cool quotient in the area just escalated. I am so psyched that the gang from Hero Design scored a new locale in such a fun part of town. If you want to learn why I like Hero so much then you have to read Joan's post that she wrote on the company a while back. These guys are due for a high profile location in Allentown. Think of the music scene that they have been promoting... think of the concert posters that have graced the local retailers’ walls in the past... think of a couple young business owners growing into a new space that will jump start their walk-in retail sales...
With the continued explosion of talented bands in the area, it's nice to know that Hero will be around to promote them. Hero's new space is located a couple doors from Colter Bay (East) next to another new business called East End Salon (coming up). Even thought they are moving from Main Street to Allen, the additional walking traffic and drive-by sightings will surely be welcome. Hero will also bring an element to the street that will add to Allentown’s diversity. Way to go Hero... welcome to Allentown.
I love these guys' work, my wife and I bought an awesome Wilco poster from when they played the Albright Knox last year. Congratulations and best of luck!
Hero is amazing.
They not only do posters but, they have created the concept for Stache where the dudes of buffalo will shop....
Opening Sept. 5, sorry had to plug.
Thanks guys!
Congrats!!! Not only are they amazing at what they do, but they are amazing people to work with. We wish you so much continued success. And like Sweet&Dirty, I must add that there design ideas reach beyond the music scene...they are developing web sites, business cards, and e-mail blasts for fellow forward thinking businesses...like ROOM.
Beth, Mark & Co. are tireless and fearless, just what Buffalo needs! Hallwalls has worked with HERO a lot in the past – their most recent design was for the Yo La Tengo at Shea's poster earlier this summer –
and we look forward to working with them way into the future. Cheers you guys, keep up the amazing work!
And did I mention they're really great people too?
Thanks everyone for all the kind words - we are SOOO excited to be a part of this great neighborhood and can't get in there fast enough. We've got some big plans in the works, including a small boutique in front of the space, as well as a full screenprinting press setup in the back of the space so people can actually stop in and see us printing our posters and other things. We will be carrying the entire Hero line in the boutique, plus some brand new Hero and Heroine products, as well as other one-of-a-kind products and posters from friends of ours all across the country as well as locally.
Fantastic and well deserved! Good luck on the transition and with your move guys! It will be great to see you make this work. 'cause I know you will. Congratulations!
