Michele Costa’s amazing, artful puppet actors are now on display at Insite Gallery. These are worth a trip out of the way to see. They are odd, scary, eerie, beautiful, exotic, dynamic, expressive, unique, disturbing, delightful… you can not imagine. I was so surprised!
Michele is a local treasure who’s work needs to be seen and appreciated. She is a theatrical pro who has worked with a host of companies to make puppet actors ranging from an eight foot Othello to tiny characters.
Theatre Figuren is a fully developed professional performance company. The roles are filled by the artful puppets and masks along with voices and music. This week there will be two performances at the Insite Gallery at 810 Elmwood, in the Neighborhood Collective.
