“There,Aeos no substitute for a band rockin,Aeo out live. When I perform, I always give it everything I,Aeove got.”
,AeiGuitarist Mark Winsick
That,Aeos the philosophy that has made this guitarist/singer/songwriter a mainstay on the live blues scene. This month, Mark will be heading up a blues festival featuring The Mark Winsick Band with special guests John Brady and Kate Engler, and The Electras with special guests Pete Howard and Paul Bruschini.
A frequent award-winner on the Buffalo music scene, garnering honors such as the BMA,Aeos Award for Best Traditional Blues Band, and Artvoice,Aeos Best of Buffalo Award. His songs have appeared on local CD compilations for the Lake, as well as those that have raised money for Music is Art and for cancer research. He,Aeos also an active board member of the Blues Society of Western New York. But that,Aeos the past and this now, and now is all about getting crowds moving with his searing guitar and evocative vocals, with band members that are squally devoted to the task.
Joining Mark and his friends are The Electras, a local group with a hot Chicago blues style, featuring veterans who have been part of the blues scene for over 30 years. Today, the band remains true to their soulful roots, playing with a passion that is the heart and soul of the music they call home.
