Buffalo Rising's Sunday Suppers, in cooperation with Slow Food Buffalo, is designed to provide you with a new recipe every month that is both simple to prepare and utterly delicious. Our hope is to encourage you to open your home to friends for a casual get-together, or to perhaps ease the daily pressure of preparing a wholesome, home-cooked meal for your family.
With Valentine's Day in mind, we bring you a recipe suited for two. Plated individually, with some lightly seasoned pasta and a side of steamed vegetables, this dish is a simple answer to a homemade romantic dinner. But if you'd prefer to feed a crowd, simply double or triple the ingredients, and serve it family style, as our chef did for us.

Snooty Fox Lounge is one of Buffalo's hottest hang-outs. The swanky lounge is complemented by a simple menu of small plate offerings developed and prepared by Chef Terry Rindfleisch. You can see an example of one of his recipes in the February issue of Buffalo Rising Magazine. There, as part of BR's Sunday Suppers, he offers the instructions for preparing Chicken Marsala for two. But, if you're less interested in having Valentine's Day dinner at home, the Snooty Fox has developed a multi-course menu with romance in mind. The lounge will transform itself into a restaurant from the 14th through the weekend; the addition of extra seating and this special menu will deliver a complete dining experience.

Snooty Fox Lounge: Not So Snooty
Snooty Fox Lounge is a wonderful addition to our burgeoning population of chic, upper scale hang outs most likely fostered by the influx of re-pats, ex-pats, and well, new pats. Its next door to Prespa, down the street from Stillwater and around the corner from Scarlet and Mothers. Snooty owner Salvatore Buscaglia refers to this area as Midtown Buffalo.
The natty new hot spot has been likened to a Buddha Bar, and is considered by its owner to be an Enoteca-style lounge. But disregard the labels and feel the vibe yourself.
The atmosphere is comfortable in a classy, “loungy” way, furnished with posh couches and plush ottomans. The environment is intentionally well-lit and therefore conducive to enjoyable group interactions- you can actually see and hear your friends! If you prefer, you can be as intimate as y…
