Last year the Central Terminal Restoration Corporation - now in its 10th year - packed the grand old station for a variety of fun-filled events - the month of September alone saw 8,000 visitors! Whether they came for the trains, the cars, or the brews, they enjoyed their pleasure in the beautiful East side art deco structure.
This year welcomes three new events: a Dyngus Day celebration in conjunction with St. Stan’s and the Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle, Hallwalls “Artists and Models” and a brand new to Buffalo “New York Wine and Cidre Festival”. And you can't forget the old favorites: the Buffalo Brewfest, Variety’s Haunted Halloween Bash, and the CTRC’s own Model Train Show are all returning.

One of the many stellar reasons to live or visit Buffalo and Western New York during the summer months is the abundance of yummy local fruits and vegetables. On a gray and cold winter day, dreams of local summer peaches can render me quite melancholy. The thought of a sweet, warm tomato, fresh off the vine, can push me over the edge.
So you can imagine my c…

Taste of Buffalo This Weekend!
As we move into the busy weekends of the summer festival season, one of the most popular places to be this second weekend of July 2006 will be the Taste of Buffalo. Now in it's 21st year, the Taste will once again take place on Delaware Avenue (it moved there last year) and around the circle in Niagara Square. This is a great location and it is sure to be packed. As a Yum! correspondent, I will be attending the festival on both days and reporting back on my delicious finds. Last year we discovered the best pulled pork sandwich in town and a few new great places to check…

There are a lot of docents on hand giving some interesting tours of City Hall this weekend. Revitalize Buffalo did a great job rounding up the troops. The photo of The Taste of Buffalo was taken from the building's observation deck. So far, the weather is perfect. There are bands playing on at least three different band shells, and 'The Circle' and it's arterial streets are flooded with 'foodies.' The new venue seems to be working out a little better due to the event layout. The event is still wall to wall people, but there are a lot of places to go sit with your food including the steps of City Hall and inside 'The Circle.' All in all, the weekend looks like a very successful one for The Taste of Buffalo.
