Our City channel has already covered the arrival and opening of Buffalo's newest restaurant, One Sunset (here and here), but now its time for YUM to get in on a little bit of the action. Located in the space formerly occupied by Lotus on the corner of West Delavan and Delaware, its owner, NBA player Leonard Stokes, has brought well-known Buffalo Chef Bruce Bain on board.

What better night to check out Buffalo's newest restaurant than on Valentine's Day? The bar area is conducive to a casual meal and a few drinks, the dining room well suited for a more formal experience. One Sunset still has a few reservations left, so after perusing their special menu, we suggest that you make yours right away.

There's no doubt that Harry's Harbour Place Grille is a class act. Most people think of visiting Harry's lakeside establishment when the weather's warm and spring fever is in full tilt, but don't be fooled. Harry's offers equally stunning views in the winter; the light falling from the night sky gently bounces off the river's shifting pristine blanket of ice. It's a truly breathtaking view, especially on a crisp, clear night.

If you're looking for a unique dining experience this Valentine's Day, this view, coupled with Harry's hearty and often decadent fare, is definitely one of your best options. Below is the menu that they'll be offering on Valentine's Day.

Today, YUM's V-Day Guide will offer you a peek at SAMPLE's Aphrodisiac Menu for Two. This divine meal may be bite-size, but the flavors are tremendous. Careful planning has gone into developing a menu that is both satisfying and exciting, and the ingredients alone are sure to add a little electricity to your date. (The items that appear in bold text below are considered to have some aphrodisiacal properties.)

Available Thursday, February 14 through Saturday, February 16, at only $46 per couple, it is probably the tastiest deal in town.

Since opening last year, Trattoria Aroma has quickly become one of the city's favorite restaurants. The dining room is cozy and romantic, the cuisine is well prepared and tremendously satisfying, and the wine list is excellent.

Aroma's Valentine's Day menu will be offered on the evening of February 14 alone. It's a prix fixe affair, and at only $55 per person, it looks like it will be a great experience at a reasonable price. The restaurant's regulars have already booked their seats. I suggest you do the same today.

Snooty Fox Lounge is one of Buffalo's hottest hang-outs. The swanky lounge is complemented by a simple menu of small plate offerings developed and prepared by Chef Terry Rindfleisch. You can see an example of one of his recipes in the February issue of Buffalo Rising Magazine. There, as part of BR's Sunday Suppers, he offers the instructions for preparing Chicken Marsala for two. If you haven't picked up the magazine yet, check out YUM tomorrow where we'll feature the article, recipe and a slideshow.

But, if you're less interested in having Valentine's Day dinner at home, the Snooty Fox has developed a multi-course menu with romance in mind. The lounge will transform itself into a restaurant from the 14th through the weekend; the addition of extra seating and this special menu will deliver a complete dining experience.

Regular readers know that not only was Nektar recently featured in YUM for their fantastic Sunday brunch, but that their Sous Chef, William Ponholzer, won the most recent installment of BR's Chefs Challenge. If that isn't enticing enough, a quick scan of the menu below certainly will be.

Available on Valentine's Day only, this special menu encapsulates much of what makes Nektar so special. The clean, modern lines of the interior complement the precise and contemporary dishes on the menu. Approachable enough for the novice gourmet yet thoughtful enough for those that are in the know, it looks to us like Nektar should top your list of Valentine's day destinations.

Today we'd like to tell you about the extensive menu that Prime 490 has developed for Valentine's Day. If you've never been to Prime, let me tell you that its interior is beautiful and modern, and the wine list is top notch.

Prime 490's prix fixe take on Valentine's will be *offered at their restaurant Wednesday, February 13 through Friday, February 15. At only $35 per person, it's not only a great deal, but you'll feel good about splurging on a great bottle of wine.

The menu will include one choice from each portion of the menu.
