YUM's V-Day Guide: Duo

To that end, we have decided to help you sort out your plans for a romantic Valentine's Day with our YUM V-Day Guide. Each day, through the 14th, YUM will feature the Valentines Day menu and other special offers from a city restaurant.
First up is Duo, Franklin Street's newest (and possibly most chic) restaurant. On February 14, 15 and 16 they'll offer guests a special prix fixe menu. $75 per couple is the price, unless you'd like to have an endless supply of champagne throughout the evening--for that you'll pay only an extra $25 per couple. A special dessert menu will also be offered.
The Valentine's Dinner Menu is as follows:
Appetizers (your choice)
Shrimp Cocktail
Baby Lobster Tails
Beef Carpaccio
Sausage and Spinach Stuffed Portabella Mushroom
Iceberg wedge w/ Crumbled Bacon and Bleu Cheese
Entrees (your choice)
Broiled Lobster Tail
Surf and Turf
Roast Pork Tenderloin
Chilean Sea Bass w/Orzo
Veal Antonio
Pasta Primavera
Chicken and Spinach Ravioli in a Sundried Tomato Sauce
Duo
297 Franklin Street, Buffalo, 14202

Ingredients should include fresh produce and local food products. As my picky-eater daughter was preparing for her first year at college, I started thinking about her opportunity to start a Sunday Supper tradition in the dorm. A tasty, nutritious meal made together with roommates and friends could establish a routi …
You know how sometimes you have a conversation with someone and come away with the impression that things are good, and everything is as it should be? After I spoke with the Cichocki Brothers at Camellia Foods, a 3rd generation Polish Sausage and Ham producer in Buffalo, I came away knowing that at the center of everything they do is Family Tradition—as it should be.
The Cichocki brothers, Peter, Patrick and Eric, are at the helm of their Grandfather Edmund’s business that h …

So it was with great anticipation that I recently made my first visit to this very cool establishment. Why it took me so long to try this place, I’ll never know. Suffice to say that I’m already looking forward to my next meal there.
I liked the vibe right away when I noticed a sign on the wall that sa …
