Where are you going for brunch tomorrow?
Last week we headed over to Shango in the University District for a brunch that I had been hearing about for a long time. Unfortunately by the time we got there they were out of their specials (good for Shango), so we stuck with the regular brunch menu. That was OK with us because the menu had a bunch of choices that sounded delicious. I love French toast and am constantly on the hunt for different types around town. Last Sunday, Shango was featuring the French toast stuffed with brie cheese. Yikes! When I saw that I knew we were in for a treat.
RoBear showed up and ordered the Belgian waffle - a great choice that came highly recommended. I still can't believe that it took me so long to get to Shango for brunch. This place seems to be one of the most talked about brunch spots in the city. The French toast and the waffles were primo, and the service was stellar. Shango is one of those restaurants that is so comfortable no matter what time of do you go. The morning light during brunch turns the dining areas into a very cheery spot -despite all the construction on Main Street. Actually, the construction gave us a sweet parking spot right out in the middle of the road. Don't be afraid of the construction on a Sunday... there's not much traffic to compete with. Check out Shango for brunch and I highly suggest the brie French toast! 3260 Main Street Buffalo. (716) 837-2326.

This place is so much more than the french toast. The seafood dishes are fantastic and I can't say enough about the coffee!
