The Power of the Web: Bringing Buffalonians Back Together
As a long time Buffalo resident, and now a unhappy Los Angeles resident, I find the BR website summing up exactly what I miss about Buffalo, and why I want to move back. I came out here to work in the film industry, and while I have had my share of good fortune, this area is ultimately not for me. My girlfriend has another year of school out here, so I have decided to stick it out another year, but was wondering if there was anyway that I could help contribute to the BR movement. I know it may sound odd wanting to do that when I live all the way across the country, but if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. -Steve
Thanks Steve, it seems that more and more ex-pats are making their way back home. We have a couple contributors who are currently covering their stories. BRO would like to hear from more ex-pats throughout the world. Who are you? Where are you? What are you up to? Are you planning to return? What do you miss about Buffalo? If you are an ex-pat and would like to give a shout out to Buffalo, send an e-mail to queenseyes@adelphia.net.

As always, we appreciate our users’ patience as we make this transition but we promise it will be well worth it. With faster load times, a comment view …

Certainly, Kennedy has "been around politics" all of her life, which is to say she was born into a family of politicos and lived in the White House--neither of which would necessarily f …
Free light rail rides on downtown's above ground section could be derailed thanks to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority's budget mess. That is the news coming out of a Buffalo Place meeting this morning. Facing a budget shortfall and reduced State operating assistance, the NFTA is scrambling for new revenue sources and is contemplating charging for rides along the lengthy downtown pedestrian mall.
Well it is Christmas time in the city and the NFTA helped put people and especially children into the mood in a very festive and fun way. One of my favorite memories of childhood was taking the train downtown with my grandfather. I would gaze out the windows and watch the tunnel speed by. It always felt like we were going a million miles an hour.
Then there was the ability to stand up and walk around during the ride without the need to be strapped down. It was always a fun time …
