Restaurant Trivia Night Question for BRO

I was wondering if you knew of any bar/restaurant in the city that has a "trivia night"? I'm not really looking for a place that has the tv trivia games, or anything like that. I'm looking for a live person, asking a series of questions, in a competition. When I was in DC and San Francisco, there were a multitude of these contests daily, and I think the bars/restaurants really appreciated the business that they brought in during the week.
Thanks, Peter
Peter, there is an informal trivia night at Founding Fathers Pub on Edward Street. We spoke with Lynn Wilson (Jack of all trades) last night and she pointed us in the direction of the two guys that run the show four nights a week. Michael Driscoll (Proprietor) and Paul Koch (Chef) are good at what they do. They serve up excellent food and drinks, and manage to spend as much time as possible coming up with both local and world trivia to stump their patrons that can't get enough of what they serve up.
Who was Lyndon Johnson's Vice President? That was the stumper the previous night.
The gets rolling around 10:00 or 11:00, and attracts an interesting bar crowd, including history and English teachers, and local politicians. They also get a steady stream of out-of-towners who stay at The Mansion on Delaware. So the mix of questions is pretty fierce, and the night can turn pretty competitive. The staff of Founding Fathers has been known to challenge other bars throughout the city, and has even hosted local media showdowns, which attracted trivia nuts from Artvoice, The News and Business First.
Paul and Michael head to the library once a week in search of trivia stumpers. They are also constantly looking for some new faces at the bar to give them a few challenging questions. Founding Fathers (an old livery stable in 1874) is open for lunch and dinner. They serve food until 4:00 in the morning!!! That's pretty cool considering that they have one of the best burgers in the city

Pain at the gas pump could lead to a population shift back to the city. That is the conclusion of several recent studies showing declining distant suburb home values and rising middle-class populations in many cities. In Buffalo, many neighborhoods are seeing high demand, but there are few signs that gas prices are a significant factor at this point.
The rising cost of gas is a concern however. In a July survey by the Siena Research Institute, 79 percent of upstate New Yorker …
Downtown workers and residents will be happy to know that a doggie daycare in the Ellicott business district has officially opened. The Puppy Playpen has transformed adjoining abandoned storefronts into a lively center for our four-legged friends. Many of the dogs are being acclimated to urban living… a lifestyle that co-owner Rosanne Higgins (pictured with her Great Dane named Sally) told me comes quite naturally for most of them. “Seeing the dogs in this downtown setting is …

Pretty much anytime the red-headed bartender (possibly the owner?) at Founding f Father's is on, he'll trivia you and your friends all evening. I've taken different people there for "just one" on several occasions and ended up "hooked on trivia" 'til closing. One group/occasion in particular turned into a bonding with the out-of-town co-workers success that could not have created in the boardroom! Talk about team-building among a competitive bunch o*this did it!

I've never been to Founding Fathers but I used to rock Trivia night in Faneiul Hall back when I lived in Boston (pre husband, pre baby). My specialty was 80's music and TV shows. All useless knowledge that won me many accolades.

I went to this place last night and it was SO fun. There was free nachos and the bartender was great company. Guinness was on tap and the sandwich prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.
