Red Clay Rocks Allentown
I'm not sure what it is about the summer weather, but the heat tends to bring out some of Buffalo's most exciting art. Coming up Monday, July 28th, from 8:30 PM - 10 PM, the 2008 Buffalo Infringement Festival, in Association with American Repertory Theater, will be presenting a staged reading of the original full length play, Red Clay. The theatrical debut of Red Clay, originally written by Matthew La Chiusa, will be performed at Allendale Theater, located on 203 Allen Street in Buffalo, NY.
Starring Phil Knoerzer; Linda Stein; John Kaczorowski; Anne Roaldi; Jeffery Coyle; and Chris Standart, Red Clay takes us back to the best of business times and the worst. A railway is caught between doing business "the good ol' ways" and the force of a changing business world, a man who dreams of creating his fortune at any cost, and a New York woman who attempts to balance love and ledger books.
Venture to Allentown to find out if dreams come true and passions play out, or if all is left to crumble into the red clay of Georgia.
This two-act play is one of the spectacular features of the Buffalo Infringement Festival. This festival takes place from Thursday, July 24 through Sunday, August 4, showcasing over 300 events around the Allentown area. This annual, eleven day event, is a non-profit-driven endeavor aiming to bring together a large range of experimental art forms. All different modes of art are welcome, including visual, musical, and performing.
