Gus Macker is not the only place downtown where you can see tricks performed on blacktop that require lots of balls. The Cobblestone District can be relatively quiet over the weekends. That is unless Ramon and his friends are tooling around the parking lots on their tricked out bikes. He and his buds spend a few hours down here a week experimenting with new stunts and taking advantage of the wide-open spaces.

Ramon prefers to try out his new tricks in empty lots as opposed to the dangers of trafficked city streets. "There are no tickets handed out either," he confessed to me. Ramon agreed to show us a few of his latest stunts, and set off to tackle the difficult Circle routines.

Next year it would be cool to see Ramon and his friends attend some of the local street parades… like Rediscover Amherst Street.

I am surprised that you would give so much time highlighting illegal and dangerous activities for the readers of BRO. What's next, how to manufacture meth in your own basement? I wouldn't be so irritated, except that this jackass doesn't even bother to wear protective riding gear or take basic precautions in the event that something goes wrong. The tattoo on his arm would disappear if he was to make even a minor miscalculation and dump the bike during one of his tricks. At least he was wearing a helmet!

What is next week's edition, Drag racing on Ohio Street?

Wow... that's what you call a chip on your shoulder excop. Comparing bike stunts to meth? A bit of a stretch. I think that video was sweet.

Unless there is a fear of liability or over-exhorbitant insurance bills, is there some area downtown or some developer/business person that can either be developed or contribute to the growth of this type of activity? Stuff like this promotes youth activities that go beyond just "hangin' out." Also, with some type of organization that would include input from Ramon and his buddies, the kids would also learn the needed equipment regulations to perform their stunts responsibly. It could be "Sunday - Niagara" all over again except the wording could change to "Sunday - The Cobblestone."

Quit whining.....at least he is going 150 mph down the side streets and hitting your kids that you let play in the streets. And he's not selling drugs on the corner. Lighten up.

What's illegal about doing moto tricks on a private lot? Is is because the bike has a motor? If these were BMX stunts would it be any different?

I think it is great that they are doing these here in a controlled environment instead of one the street where other people could get hurt if something went wrong. I commend them for being responsible and actually giving motorcyclist a good name. They are a good time to go down and watch too.

Right on MJWorthington! I am glad that we see things the same way. There isn't and harm in what he is doing. The only person who can get hurt is himself and I am sure that he is aware of the risks or else he wouldn't be performing them. Does anyone know how often he is there? I would like to watch him sometime.
