Party For The Barks - Support The New Barkyard

"Now that we have the new site identified within LaSalle Park, we also have a price tag that comes with it. We are looking to raise money give us the ability to buy dispensers, ground cover, benches, big rocks and landscaping. We need these amenities to increase the status of the park… a park that is being built with the help of the Water Authority (fencing and water) and The City (grounds). Now it's up to us to raise the funds for the rest of the park. We need people to start donating to this cause to make the Off Leash Area a permanent year around facility with plenty of dog-friendly additions.
"There appears to be some sort of plan to redo LaSalle Park in the future... the new spot that we are looking at will most likely be close to the circle in the middle of the park. Soon Buffalo will offer one of the few new and improved waterfront dog parks in any US city. The move will occur between mid-summer and early fall. We need the public to show up at Coles on July 23rd - 5pm to 7pm. We’ll be featuring microbrews from Flying Dog and snacks from Coles. Sponsors include Buffalo Microparks, BuffOLA and Buffalo Rising."

RaChaCha and I toured them around and showed them all of the Cobblestone District advancements as well as the area in and around the Commercial Slip. When they …

"I'm asking our legislative candidates to vote for a Constitutional Convention," Paladino said. "This can happen every twenty years, the last time being 1996, but it hasn't been done since 1938."
Paladino's objective, he says, is to get both houses to vote by majority for a referendum on the ballot. This, he explains, would put to vo …
The Nicole Kidman/Studio Arena hoax that recently hit the media is an opportunity for some discussion about the way news travels these days, and begs comment on the phrase "Any publicity is good publicity".
After speaking with someone closely related to Studio Arena, who wishes to stay anonymous, it seems like the Kidman hoax was timed perfectly—in order to circumvent corroboration—and named just the right names in order to look plausible. Add to that the fact that many of t …
For over a decade, PRINT Magazine has been publishing a Regional Design Annual. This homage to graphic design receives more than 20,000 individual entries and only around two hundred are chosen as worthy entries into the yearly publication. They whittle down the entries in a stringent process of selection, picking only 5% of the first-rate winners from each region of the country that represent the best design, illustrations, and photography in the United States. This year, The Mar …
