OPENING MARCH 31: The INTEGRAL HOUSE
The Integral House creates a place for architecture, music, and performance at the edge of a Toronto ravine. It is a project that is the result of numerous interwoven collaborations between the architects, a remarkable client, and the contractor along with their team of consultants and collaborators. This exhibition presents the design process of the Integral House sharing its design evolution through sketches, models, drawings and size as mock-ups.
The exhibition has been created to celebrate Brigitte Shimis appointment as the 2006 Martell Distinguished Visiting Critic at the School of Architecture and Planning at UB. Brigitte Shim and Howard Sutcliffe are principles of Shim-Sutcliffe Architects in Toronto, one of the leading architectural practices in Canada. The exhibition has been made possible by the generous support of the UB Canadian American Studies Committee and the Office of the Dean at the School of Architecture and Planning.
