Shameless plug department - The Channel 17 auction is winding down. They have great merchandise (Pink MartiniCDs are great)and a worthy cause. Everything not sold during the auction ends up at the garage sale they will have at the studio on May 20 starting at 9. Will stop in again later tonight (2 wakes to go to, life ain't good today)

Shake up a bottle of Molson Canadian and use that. Better than a pressure washer. I call the remnants "snacks"

Can't stay long but, want to thank QE for the post on Front Park. I had been wondering what "evil" the PBA might be up to now that they're (seemingly) out of the spotlight.Glad to find out that a) this is actual PROGRESS! and b) it is under the guidance of Olmsted Parks C. (yea!!!) I even took the liberty of calling QE's source to ask about a few other things. He will be calling me back in a week or so. From other comments on that post, there are other way more attuned than I on the Porter / Plaza / Park plans and their status. I really really really hope you will keep this topic active as it is the gateway to our fair city from Canada. and I--190, Olmsted AND Ellicott designed and fairly intact (unlike some other spokes on the radial plan). Thanks again. Must go back and see if more comments are added to that post and then, am back to work! Happy hour, yeah, right!

i have a quesion - with all this hype about the new ethanol plant: what exactly is that coming out of the smoke stacks in the photos i see published of other ethanol plants? what are the byproducts? i can't assume that a state government that treats western new york like a read headed step child would be taking our collective health into consideration; however i am hoping somebody does have this aspect covered. it is suspect to me that this is all happening in the farthst reaches (here) of new york state from pataki's and schumer's beloved downstate. i hate to sound so skeptical of a possible local revenue boost, but the barely placating crumbs that have historically been thrown this way are getting more and more obvious to me as these projects have unfolded. or is it just me? i guess that was more than one question...
