OHM Ultra Lounge

OHM Ultra Lounge

Story Options

We have heard reports that tonight is the grand opening of a reinvented Main Street club. Formerly Miss Kitty’s, OHM is lining up some local talent in the form of progressive dance music. Resident DJ Greg will be serving up some of the most current tunes in the electronic music world, which until now was hard to come by in the downtown scene.

From what we have heard, this scene appears to be very promising. Gone is the red and black motif with the half window, half board façade. We’re hoping that this club lives up to the hype that has been circulating throughout Allentown. OHM will be a nice addition to the Main Street scene that is currently being driven primarily by Campieri’s 888 and Roxy’s Green Room.

Update on the nearby Wine and Bistro Bar?

How is the adjacent apartment building making out with there leasing efforts? That was a bit of sarcasm, they aren't even attempting to lease the first floor retail. They seem to be content collecting the government subsidized rent, while ignoring the ground floor. Please, at least try.

If you haven't been there yet, Campieri's has some GREAT pizza, I'd recommend you all try it.

Oh ya....Good luck OHM. Fair amount happening on this part of Allen.

Unless the ownership and management has changed I fear it will be more of the same. Loud obnoxious music and way overpriced drinks. Oh and a cover charge to go inside and ask yourself, "what the he** am I doing here."

"what the he** am Idoing here" should be a question you ask yourself whenver you enter any club or hipster bar. Honestly, if you just stop and think logically for a few seconds... what really is the appeal?

Excellent. Buffalo definitely needs a place where one can dance there ass off to some current musical offerings. Especially away from the hair gel and vomit crowd on Chippewa. The patio is quite expansive as well. This could be a good home for future "Transmission" dance parties.

I never thought Miss Kitty's was overpriced. Not in the least. Plus, the drinks were usually on the stronger side. I never caught any attitude either, and I play on the other team.

Best of luck. I'll be stopping in.

The exterior looks exactly the same but with newly painted blue trim. How about getting rid of the black glass windows, it looks like ZeptoMetrix !

I dunno.................It appears that both scooter and hoss could benefit from the above mentioned course on writing at Buffalo State. I will never understand why it's so difficult to use "their", "there" and "they're" correctly. To coin a phrase, it ain't rocket science.

    Hey Fill.

Does that same writing course cover capitalization usage in relation to proper nouns?

Thanks for reminding why I don't post on BR much anymore.

fill, I probably wouldn't hire someone if they had poor grammar on a cover letter for example, but seriously you've got to complain about that on a thread where grammar & spelling are pretty much secondary?

Bizzles- take your filthy language someplace else, children read this for Chri**' * sake.

Question.... if Campieri's address is 888 Main, and Ohm is on the next block UPtown, how can its address be 848? The building numbers ascend, oui?

I can partially agree with Allentwn - Kitty's is hit or miss... partially because the owner Roz is, well, Roz.

Who knows, maybe a re-do will level it out. *shrugs*

Sorry Hoss..............didn't notice that you use the capital - unlike the majority of bloggers who spell their handles with all lower case. bfloghost, you're right that my rant was a departure from the subject of the article. It's just that, after seeing this mistake being made over and over again, I reached the boiling point and could not resist the comment. Perhaps it's because I'm a Taurus and will say nothing until I reach the flashpoint and then - stand back !! My blog did, however, engender 7 ratings which suggests that these errors get on other people's neves as well.
