A new series by Buffalo's leading digital media production studio, Full Circle Studios, is a hilarious take-off from the "PC v. Mac" series, pitting a personified Buffalo (played effortlessly by John Kreuzer) against various other cities. We'll be bringing you one of these a day for the next few days, and promise a massive payoff at the end. Sure to be a hit with ex-pats, the series captures the spirit of Buffalo perfectly, and is one of a collection of new locally-based sketch comedy videos by the studio labeled Sorry, McKinley!

Originally produced as a means of drawing viewers back to standard cable stations from Dish Network and other outlets, Sorry McKinley began life as a half-hour of Buffalo-themed comedy sketches by local actors and writers. Meant to be different, attention-grabbing, and controversial, the group wanted to create a show that "would be talked about at the water cooler" the next morning. The only directive, other than be funny, was to keep the focus on local events, personages, and themes.

This meant politicians, civic blunders, historical faux-pas, commercial missteps, and more were all fair game. The show’s writers were tasked with being unbiased, apolitical, and even-handed, spreading the comedic abuse to all parties, walks of life, communities, and sensibilities. The pilot was well-received, with segments like the attached clip going viral on YouTube.

Terry Fisher, president of Full Circle, states “By building awareness, we hope that Sorry, McKinley! will prove to be irresistible to sponsors and we can get a weekly series off the ground,” said Full Circle president Terry Fisher. “As local television stations and cable companies face more competition from national sources like satellite and internet providers, their only advantage will be to provide local programming of sufficient quality to draw audiences to their channels. We think a local, politically sharp, satirical sketch show is just such a program.”

Let him and any potential sponsors know if you agree!
