Mularkey Has Officially Mailed It In!
What in the world is going on with the Buffalo Bills?? Have you ever seen so many surprise press conferences announcing the hiring and firings of personnel? With the news of Mularkey leaving the Bills, I think that a lot of people got what they wanted. To me, this just proves that he never really had what it takes to be a head coach in the NFL. The pressure was mounting and once again, Mularkey collapsed like a house of cards.
Although it is unfortunate that matters had to come to this, it is hopefully the fresh start that this organization needs. What is most important right now is to find the right man for the job. This has been a team and an organization divided over the past few years and it is time to right the ship once and for all. When Ralph Wilson stated that an "extensive search" is now on, I hope he meant it. This next hiring is going to pave the way for the Buffalo Bills for quite some time.
Purse strings need to open up and I certainly hope that our next head coach is not hired from within. To me, that would just send the signal that Ralph Wilson and Marv Levy refuse to get out of their comfort zone. I feel good that Marv Levy's first major assignment is going to be one where he puts in nothing less than 100%. He will find a "character" guy who knows how to get the most out of his players. This is going to be a very delicate situation which has to be handled just right. It is very interesting to note that Marv Levy still wants to be head coach as he eluded that there was no better person for the job than himself. Ralph Wilson was quick to state that Mr. Levy would NOT be a candidate. At this point, I don't think that anything could be ruled out.
This is sure to be the most exciting off-season in a long time at One Bills Drive as the circus continues at full speed. With plenty of interviews on the horizon, I would love to get your opinions as to who YOU think would be a great fit for the Buffalo Bills!

To be honest, I went out Wednesday night planning to chronicle the last night of this hockey season in Buffalo.
After the way Ottawa crushed the Sabres in Monday night’s third game of the Eastern Conference Finals, physically and spiritually, in perhaps the most one-sided 1-0 game ever played in any sport, the logical conclusion was that Buffalo’s seven-month run as the new glamour team of the National Hockey League was in its death throes.
Teams come back from 3-0 deficits …
Shows how much I know.
Last week’s preview of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Buffalo Sabres and the Ottawa Senators was rife with wisecracks about John Muckler, Ray Emery, Daniel Alfredsson and even the Roman Senate.
All wrong, as it turns out, with the possible exception of the bit about the machismo exhibited by ancient Rome’s legislative body.
I was not, however, the only one in these parts who badly underestimated Ottawa, judging from Buffalo’s performance …

Clearly the next head coach should be Tatonka!!!
I am wind in his hair. Can you see that I am not afraid of you?!?!
Or maybe it could be a joint venture between Schopp and the Bulldog, Howard Simon, Jeremy Riter, Paul Hamilton and Jerry Sullivan. They all seem to know so much more about it than any of the players or coaches we've had here in the past...
