WJ Morrissey Irish Pub

The public got a small taste of the new restaurant's atmosphere during the weekend of St. Patty's Day. It was, however, only a quick glimpse before the doors were shut and work continued inside and outside of the establishment. Since that time the concrete sidewalk has been busted up to make room for spring plantings. New railings have been added to the patio, and faux green pillars and brick walls (more on that from Bill Z.) have been installed. The exterior windows match the Savarino building at 26 Mississippi, which brings a unified look to the street. The restaurant is still looking for a full time manager and is also looking to fill kitchen and server positions. Those interested should apply at Morrisey's (30 Mississippi between Perry and South Park) or Colter Bay (corner of Allen and Delaware).

A lot of people have done it. Maybe you've even tried it once or twice. You had one too many and instead of calling someone – a friend, your mom, your roommate – you got in the car and you drove home. You made it alive and without an arrest on your record and you swore it’d never happen again. But since you made it once, you know you’ll be tempted to try it again, except next time, maybe you won’t get so lucky.
It’s hard to make the right decision, especially if it in …
If you can't make fun of your own city from time to time, then you must live in one of those 'perfect' cities where... everything is perfect. If you don't live in one of those 'perfect' cities and you find that living in a city like Buffalo suits you better, I bet that you have a sense of humor regarding day-to-day quirkiness. There are times when you scratch your head and wonder what the heck is going on, right? Is UB still investing on a swamp in Amherst? Is someone paying off T …
In an 8-page response of the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy regarding the Peace Bridge Expansion Project- Section 106 - Adverse Effect Finding, Olmsted attorney Arthur J. Giacalone has told the Public Bridge Authority that they haven't done a good job of the draft of their Environmental Impact Study (DEIS). The crux of the response according to Olmsted Conservancy President and CEO Thomas Herrera-Mishler is that the PBA DEIS doesn't take into account the original vision of the …

$7 to $10 for a meal and a side is cheap. I seen the building, looks nice. I wish them luck. I'll be checking it out in the near future.

Hopefully they do it right, don’t care much for the trad sessions, but would defiantly be there if they show MLS, EPL or any of the other major leagues. The menu reminds me a lot of Molly Brannigans in Erie, PA, but I am interested to see the drink menu.
