Why drive out to the ‘burbs and fight your way through the throng in a big box, when you can get everything you want at Urban Roots while rubbing elbows with your neighbors?

Urban Roots is celebrating the acquisition of their building at 428 Rhode Island (at the five corners). They are stocked for Memorial Day with trees, shrubs, flowers, vegetable plants, seeds, and all sorts of greens. (See the drawing of the building below)

We stopped by last weekend and spoke with Monique Watts, Secretary of Urban Root’s Board of Directors. With nearly 200 member-owners, everyone at Urban Roots is excited about their new building, all of the upcoming neighborhood projects, and the new season.

I bought bags of the black mulch on Friday, definetly dressed up and "finished" my front beds ..... seemed like a great value at 6 bags for $20 and no drive to make.

Yes, this place is awesome. Go there and support it. One more reason NOT to go to Home DePot - if you needed another one.
