Lotus, a Philadelphia-based 5-piece ensemble, makes music that's heavily tempered by electronic styles such as deep house, drum n bass, and breakbeats, yet blends those sounds seamlessly with the organics of funk, jazz, and world beat. This creates a show that shifts from spiritual and meditative, to jubilant and energetic, from dance-floor burners to spaced out waves of electronica. Since its inception in 1999 this band has grown into a worldwide touring powerhouse. Changing every venue into a true "lotus experience", they come armed with intelligent lighting, visuals, the whole nine yards. Now selling out venues coast to coast, and even a sensation in Japan (where they just returned from). Only gracing us about once a year now, last year was absolutely PACKED! This time will be no exception. Come see what all the fuss is about... and get ready to party.

That is the news coming out of a Buffalo Place meeting this morning.
