Looking for a local sculptor.

The Mansion on Delaware has almost completed the design of their 'new' parking lot located directly across the street from their boutique hotel. I know that it is just a parking lot, but Mansion owner, Geno Principe, put a ton of thought into its design and function. The old gravel lot has been transformed into a pedestrian & auto friendly mini-park. Grab a bench and take a rest, enjoy the flowers planted around the lots perimeter, and reflect upon the (soon to come) water sculpture. There's a hitch however. The Mansion is looking for a local sculptor to create a visually pleasing sculpture that will reside as the focal point in this park. The electricity has been run, the patio has been poured, and now they need a sculpture. What's really great is it sounds like The Mansion has got a nice budget for the piece. Once again, the money is there for the work... so if you know of a local sculptor, let him or her know about this hi-profile project. The Mansion's number is (716)886-3300. Good luck.

Here's a rerun of a post Steel did two and a half years ago. A building with an already rich history back then, it has even more of a story to tell now. Fortunately, due to the hard work and foresight of a group of neighbors, preservationists, a great lawyer and a developer with the wherewithal and vision to turn an imminent demolition around, one of Steel's favorite buildings has a future too.
This marvelous edifice is on Jersey Street just west of Richmond. It is on a great …
E Square Capital, LLC is busy converting a former factory at 937 Broadway near Fillmore Avenue into a mix of 43 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments plus first-floor commercial space.
