La Dolce Vita

I go by here all the time and for some reason I never went in. Now I feel like a dope. This cafe/bistro sports some really tasty food, including the Insalada alla Carmelina displayed in the photo. Baby greens, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts and kalamata olives topped with goat cheese and a house vinaigrette...that's good as it is. But what takes this to the next level is their homemade pane tostato...brushed with olive oil and dusted with Romano cheese it has a real kick that perfectly complements the salad.

The salad was named after a longtime employee, Carmelina, who apparently makes some notably excellent coffee concoctions. She wasn't there when I was but I'll definitely be going back to try them out. As well as the decadent looking pastries.

The guy holding the salad is the new owner Ross Runfola Jr.(he took over operations in August). He's a great guy...make a point to meet him while you're there.
