Karaoke gone 'bad'... trust me, that's good.
For those of you that have a hankering for something a little different...you have got to check out Roxy's on Wednesday nights. They have done what supposedly could not be done.The have made karaoke cool. Last night was a complete blast. Honestly, I have always been anti karaoke, but this bar really takes it to the next level. The girls behind the bar can really belt out some great tunes. Especially when they are no longer behind the bar... they're on it. They really get the crowd going. I left pretty late/early and things had not settled down the least bit. Now I know that we have covered it before, but tonight is the Stripteasers burlesque show (check out BRJ's wallpaper a little further down on this site) that they feature every Thursday. So after The Square swing on by... actually you might want to make a couple other stops first as the show starts at midnight. Roxy's is located at 884 Main Street.

Recycling Made Easy? Is it possible?
Can anyone tell me why the vast number of cafés and restaurants in the city do not recycle? I’m actually having a hard time coming up with more than a couple that do. I am constantly walking back to the cash registers with papers and plastics asking where the recycle bins are. And I’m repeatedly told that there is no recycling policy in place. The Kids Are Alright
One of the things that I really enjoy at the Thursday at the Square concert series is watching all of the young people congregate on Main Street. Last evening I found out that there is a new policy in place that forbids these kids from hanging out near Lafayette Square. After the 2006 October snowstorm, Re-Tree WNY was established with the goal to restore the 8400 trees that were destroyed in Buffalo during the October 2006 storm.
