Join the Party: Sample and TOY Team Up

What better way to begin the celebration of Mother's Day than to join the Party? Begin by stopping by Sample Restaurant for Dinner or Lunch, and then follow the celebration to TOY's production of If You Give a Pig a Party.
Often considered a restaurant to suit an adult contemporary palette, Sample is joining the celebration of family and friends, with a children’s menu designed specifically for this event. Sample will be in keeping with its all hors d’oeuvres concept, by offering a fun kids menu featuring Mac & Cheese, Peanut Butter and Jelly and Grilled Cheese Finger Sandwiches, Fruit Bowl, and of course, Pancakes with your “Favorite Maple Syrup”. For dessert, Ice Cream Sundae and a Mini Birthday Cake (for Pig’s Party). Choice of milk or chocolate milk. $10 per child. All menu items are organic and locally bought whenever possible.

Sample’s regular menu will be offered to satisfy parents' tastes as well.
If you are familiar with the best selling books, If You Give a Pig a Pancake and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, you will find Sample's menu fits perfectly with these themes. In fact, I can't think of a better eatery to fit the theme of a little bit more, and more and more...
TOY will complete its 36th season with If you Give a Pig a Party, a colorful and lively musical about friendship, based on the best-selling children’s book by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond.
Treat your kids to a great experience of theatre and dining. Party hours at Sample are as follows:
Saturday May 10, 17 and 31, Noon to 4PM
Sunday May 11, 18 and June 1, Noon to 4PM
And Friday May 30 from 4-7PM

For years, visitors to Elmwood Avenue have been gazing upon a partially lit neon work of art at Bidwell Parkway above Sahara Grill. Every once in a while there were reports that the neon was getting repaired... then nothing. That's not the case anymore as this Wednesday marks the official relighting of the Neon Tango Dancers. Thanks to the work of the Elmwood Village Association, the Buffalo Tango Society, NAS Quicksigns and Joe Golombek, the dancers will once again strut their st …
More often than not, Carl Paladino comes across as a guy who has a gripe about plenty of things in Buffalo—its politicians, its development projects and even the way its schools are run. And, more often than not, he makes a fair argument. Still, no one can deny that he is a full-time Buffalo Booster, with a particular passion and unconditional love for this city. It’s obvious in his dedication to doing business here.
As CEO of Ellicott Development Company, a real estate de …
At long last, Tony Maggiotto, owner of CityLove Clothing has found a permanent home on Elmwood Avenue. He has turned the former Stache/Damsel store into a one stop shop for all of your Buffalo needs, Tony is a mastermind when it comes to printing t-shirts that reflect the local times – my favorite happens to be the American Apparel that broadcasts ‘Peace Bridge Planning Committee. And now that Tony has made the move from apartment/cyber space to an official headquarters, he’ …
