Infringe ’08 Fundraiser At Nietzsche’s


The 2008 Buffalo Infringement Festival begins Thursday July 24th and ends on Sunday August 3rd. It is a non-profit driven, artistically controversial, pushing the limit affair that provides the community and artists in all subject matter the ability to express themselves in every conceivable manner for eleven days. Volunteers are essential and donations are much appreciated.
On May 9, 2008, Nietzsche’s at 248 Allen Street will host the Buffalo Infringement Fundraiser. Tickets are $5 and the event is at 10pm. Acts to appear at this fundraiser include: Joseph Mulhollen, Axis of Evil, Noah Gokey, Aediem, Mr. Hakim, Vinny’s Attic, Qualia, Bonus Plus, DJ Shute Yes and LIVE ART created by YOU.

West Studio at 148 Elmwood Avenue has presented many exhibits to raise funds for different programs like the Crisis Advocate Program (Oct. 2006), the Crisis Services Rape Program (Apr. 2007), and the Crisis Services Homeless Outreach (Oct. 2007). The Buffalo Select Chorus will perform their 3rd Annual Concert June 4 at 7PM in Asbury Hall at Babeville. The recital and reception is free and open to all who would like to view the evening's mixed musical repertoire and any students wishing to participate in the upcoming 2008-2009 Buffalo Select Chorus.

For ten years, Professor Robert L. Wood at Buffalo State College has run a ceramics programs dubbed the “Western New York Clay Olympics”. This fun event takes place at the college’s Upton Hall 128, tomorrow, May 16, and is open for the public to come and watch.
