Forever Elmwood Summer Concert Series
If you missed The BPO, OCO, and Lee Ron Zydeco the past few Tuesdays at Bidwell Parkway, be sure to put Neville Francis and the Riddim Posse on you list this week.
Come experience the sounds of reggae with two-time Juno Award winner Neville Francis. Next Tuesday, long-time Buffalo favorite David Kaneis bigger band, known for film noir and movie soundtrack sounds, will take the stage.
Concert-goers are welcome to bring folding chairs, blankets, and picnics. Grilled food, wine and beer will be sold at the concerts, with proceeds benefiting Forever Elmwood.
The concerts take place on Tuesdays, 7 to 9 p.m., on Bidwell Parkway at Elmwood Avenue.

Christmas With Vocalis at Karpeles
Though they only began in 2002, the 18-person Vocalis Chamber Choir have already made a name for themselves. Vocalis’ first CD was praised by the Buffalo News, is played regularly on WNED-FM, and they perform regularly through WNY, Toronto, and Pittsburgh. Their 2008-2009 season, which only includes eight or nine performances in WNY, will begin at Karpeles Manuscript Museum with their holiday concert dubbed, “Christmas at the Karpeles.”

Ever since the Falafel Bar opened on Allen Street, it was only a matter of time before the Elmwood location was no longer for this world.
