Eberl Iron Works Announces Online Store

Eberl Iron Works, Inc. has been a name in Buffalo since 1923. For years they have shipped to all parts of the country, but today that process just got a little easier when the company announced the opening of its online store at store.eberliron.com.
Eberl Iron Works is now offering its customers the ability to order unistrut channels and parts, food grade struts, lindapter structural fastening systems, pipe and conduit supports, rooftop supports, traffic safety products, and more from its new website.
John Eberl, who works for marketing and did a lot of work to get the store up-and-running explains that the store will help customers access products to not only “help our customers already out there” but also to expand their business to others.
Eberl Iron Works is located at 128 Sycamore Street in downtown Buffalo. The building is one floor, 20,000 square feet, and everything goes on in that one big area. Through careful space management, Eberl says they are able to accomplish everything. However, for things they cannot manage, they outsource to others in the area.
“We find ways to work with other companies locally,” says Eberl.
Though it seems strange that such big materials can be offered online, Eberl explains that they have a good system already in place for shipping these items out. Through their loading dock they can use UPS, rent tractor-trailers, and have even used the railroad to transport materials. However it needs to get there, they manage to get it there and have shipped things to as far away as California.
With over 80 years of experience, it is great to see Eberl Iron Works thriving in an Internet age. With over 2,500 products available on their store website, they are without a doubt doing their best to make that 80+ years of experience turn into a hundred.

In the meantime, posting will be light as we log new stories in the new publishing system which will only be viewable when we launch on Friday.
As always, we appreciate our users’ patience as we make this transition but we promise it will be well worth it. With faster load times, a comment view …
Caroline Kennedy was in town for a visit with our mayor yesterday. A possible choice to succeed US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Kennedy's name has been mentioned along with that of Attorney General Andrew Cuomo (son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo) and our own Byron Brown, among others.
Certainly, Kennedy has "been around politics" all of her life, which is to say she was born into a family of politicos and lived in the White House--neither of which would necessarily f …
Free light rail rides on downtown's above ground section could be derailed thanks to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority's budget mess. That is the news coming out of a Buffalo Place meeting this morning. Facing a budget shortfall and reduced State operating assistance, the NFTA is scrambling for new revenue sources and is contemplating charging for rides along the lengthy downtown pedestrian mall.
Well it is Christmas time in the city and the NFTA helped put people and especially children into the mood in a very festive and fun way. One of my favorite memories of childhood was taking the train downtown with my grandfather. I would gaze out the windows and watch the tunnel speed by. It always felt like we were going a million miles an hour.
Then there was the ability to stand up and walk around during the ride without the need to be strapped down. It was always a fun time …

Hear, hear. There's more to locally owned businesses than boutique retail. Eberl does a great job. It would be nice to see more stories about this side of local retail/manufacturing.
