Do Your Holiday Shopping With Roswell

Story Options

While you’re doing your holiday shopping, you’ll no doubt be bombarded with requests for donations to help the needy this holiday season. When you come right down to it, it’s a difficult decision on whether to donate, who to donate to, and how much – there are just so many factors that need to be considered. Roswell Park Cancer Institute is making that decision a lot easier. Though they’ll accept donations, they’ve created a way for you to donate and do your regular holiday shopping through their program, The Paint Box Project.

You know you’re going to need holiday gift wrap, cards, ornaments, gift baskets, and other seasonal items. Instead of going to a major store, you can order it from The Paint Box Project. Their 2008 Holiday Card & Gift Collection benefits cancer research and is created by those currently fighting the disease. Throughout the year, children and parents gather in groups to create drawings at art parties. The artwork is then turned into gifts, cards, and ornaments. The best part is, your purchase is helping to save lives, and since you would have bought it anyway, it takes the difficulty out of making the choice on who to donate to.

Be sure to visit that website, but you can also visit retail sites, like many local Tops and Wegmans stores. In addition to their annual gift card collection, Roswell Park has teamed up with Mall Networks. Through this website consumers will be able to shop at over 600 leading online merchants and a percentage of each sale will go directly to cancer research. Not only will consumers be able to make purchases, they’ll also be offered free shipping on some items, limited-time offers, discounts, coupons, and be able to comparison shop in one convenient location. It isn’t just a good way to spread good cheer; it’s an excellent way to strive for a cure.
