Digital Dialing: The Game Show

Digital Dialing: The Game Show will be available for all lunch goers in Niagara Square Thursday, July 31 from 12 PM - 1:30 PM.
Digital Dialing is being brought to Buffalonians by Time Warner Cable to celebrate the one-year anniversary of their Digital Home Phone service. Last year in August, Time Warner Cable made Digital Home Phone service available to Buffalonians.
"Time Warner Cable thought hosting a game show would be a great way to celebrate the Digital Phone service in a way that is all about the customers while giving people out for lunch in Niagara Square a chance to partake in a fun activity and leave with great prizes, as everyone will receive a free T-shirt," Robin Wolfgang Vice President for Public and Government Affairs at Time Warner Cable explained.
If you're planning to head down to Niagara Square for this unique celebration, you can expect to be asked Buffalo-related trivia questions during the game show. "If participants do not know the answer to a question they will be given the opportunity to phone a friend on speakerphone who can suggest the correct answer, just like on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," Wolfgang said.
Additionally, at this event you can expect to see recognizable Buffalonians testing their knowledge and expertise in all things Buffalo. "There has been many different local sports celebrities, mascots, and politicians that have expressed interest in the celebration," Wolfgang stated.
Peter Anderson, host of All That Matters on Time Warner Cable Channel 13, will ask participants the tough trivia questions as part of Digital Dialing. All That Matters features current information on what’s happening in Western New York including the latest on area business, health news, arts, current events and politics. "Peter Anderson was chosen to host Digital Dialing: The Game Show because he's part of the Time Warner Cable family, knows everything about Buffalo, and is a recognizable Buffalo Anchor," Wolfgang said.
With 3 million phone customers nationwide it's no surprise Time Warner Cable's Digital Home Phone Service has been popular in Buffalo. "Time Warner Cable's plans for the future in Buffalo include caller id that pops up on your television allowing customers to know who's calling without missing a moment of their television show. this feature will be made available to Buffalo by the end of the summer and is included in the $39.95 monthly fee for existing Digital Home Phone service customers," Wolfgang announced.
So, it's a sale. But you have to admit, this sounds like fun.

It’s really a shame if you missed the reading series “Poetry at the Tea House” that took place at Tru-Teas! during this past year. Luckily, Trudy Stern didn’t want anyone to miss out and teamed up with Michael Morgulis to produce an incredibly fine, unbound book entitled “Tea Leaves” to commemorate the readings and spread the work of the local poets who partook in the program.
In honor of the publication of this special edition portfolio, Morgulis and Stern are hostin …
I think that I would like to start off this post by commending the three Common Council members who were bold enough to ask for today's bizarre Waterfront Village decision to be tabled. David Franczyk, Mickey Kearns and Mike LoCurto all stuck to their guns when it came to holding off on making any hasty (and potentially tragic) decisions regarding our waterfront. Unfortunately, their headstrong stance was outweighed by the rest of the BURA committee, and the rumors are flying as t …
A development team has been selected for a vacant commercial site in Waterfront Village. Finally. The Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency this morning named Specialty Restaurants Incorporation as preferred developer for the prime 1.4 acre parcel at 10-15 LaRiviere Drive. The owner of the adjacent Shanghai Red’s restaurant is proposing an uninspired, four-story, 100 room Wingate Inn.

So, is BRO getting advertising revenue from Time Warner? I sure hope so, otherwise this looks even worse.

Time Warner in Buffalo is more authentic, genuine and real than the fake, pastic, corporate service they offer in Charlotte and Phoenix.

I hope TW mentions that the service doesnt work when the cable and power go out, and doesnt work with your security system. I had it for a month and dumped it because it was so awful. I'm glad we finally have some competition with Verizon launching their new services....goodbye price gouging and hello better services...
