Buffalo's Jeremy Hoyle Band To Open For Hootie!
buffalo's jeremy hoyle is not only excited about performing as the opening act for hootie and the blowfish this monday nov. 7th at 7pm , he really digs the fact that the venue is the statler golden ballroom at the statler towers.
i recently caught up with jeremy and really loved his energy as he explained to me the absolute charm of the ballroom that dates back to 1923. "i believe the capacity for concerts is in the area of 1800. there's their trademark gigantic beautiful chandaliers in the room, a balcony and a mezzanine. it's been recently restored to its turn of the century grandeur.", jeremy passionately stated.
the jeremy hoyle band is really drawing some national attention (9 buffalo music awards since 2000) and can't wait to share the stage with hootie. hootie is coming back to buffalo after drawing rave reviews and enjoying record-breaking attendance at this years buffalo rocks the harbor music festival.
i'm not sure what excites me the most: hootie, jhb or the chance to check out the ballroom in this setting. i can't wait! tickets are available at all ticketmaster locations & home of the hits. to charge by phone call 716 852 5000
see you there!

With a new album hot off the press, this Buffalo folkie chats with Buffalo Rising about the traditional music of New York State, song collecting, and how quitting his day job was among the best things he’s ever done.
AZ: How did folk music, especially historic folk music, become the focus of your career?
DR: Gosh, good question. I wonder that myself sometimes. As I look back, it’s been a long, gradual, even logical progression to this point, but one that I could never hav …

Perhaps you're familiar with public broadcasting and its noble intentions for communal enrichment through music.
