Buffalo the Taurus

Pshaw, you say? Well chew on these typical Taurus traits.
Typically charming and hard working but not aggressive.
We are a hard working people and according to many, the City does not accomplish things in a timely manner though plenty of energy is expended ‘working’ things out between ourselves.
They are patient, warm-hearted, and reliable hence they make fantastic friends. Generous, loving, and kind Tauruses love passionately.
We are the City of Good Neighbors.
Speaking of passion they also tend to have fierce temper tantrums. Which may stem from their determination or their need to emotionally express themselves.
Buffalo has notable music and art scenes.
They are strong, stable, and secure. Which sometimes plays out as stubborn and inflexible. They are solid; they have endurance.
I’m not even touching this one.
Although Tauruses can come off as boring, they’re not.
First impressions of Buffalo tend toward the “there’s nothing to do” attitude. But with a little digging Buffalo’s lively social scene is revealed.
They take pride in their beauty, self-indulge, and are generous.
Just look around at all our gorgeous, historic architecture and lush parks.
So what do you think? Fits doesn’t it?

Buffalo Place arranged for live music on the new pier throughout the day with music from Wendell Rivera Latin Jazz Ensemble, Boys of Summer, Rod Nickson Project, Jac …

So after fireworks and celebrations on Friday and Saturday, some, if not many, Buffalonians will no doubt be hung over and tired. That’s okay. Well a Taurus astrological sign but taurus are supposed to love money and land and also of course the bull is stubborn so all those astrology buffs (no pun intended) why is Buffalo so damn poor and stupid and have absolutely no fiber to be stubborn about? My guess is to check the progressed sign of Buffalo for some more answers!
Anyone read the BuffaloSnooze today? The state recommendation says that Buffalo is the most over governmentalized county in all NYS. Now I bet that shocks alot of people downstate LOL!!!!!!
I say Kenmore, Depew, Blasdell, and Lackawanna are prime candidates to be consolidated into Buffalo.
I also agree that all purchasing, human resources, accounting, comptroller etc should be at the county level.
I also agree that all civil service employees must pay 25% of their health and dental and retirement premiums instead of the taxpayer being stiffed every year for it.
Maybe just maybe we can hold out two carrots 1) additional UB Centers of Excellence and UB small business incubator parks located in Buffalo within the city limits would encourage more to voluntarily join. 2) investment in small business from the Seneca Casino revenue would only be within the Buffalo city limits.
Furthermore, the only way the county could get access to the Seneca Casino Revenue would be through a city/county merger. Hows that to get the discussion going!
Of course if the state really wanted to encourage a city/county merger it could offer Erie County the States share of the Seneca Casino Revenue as enticements for towns like Tonawanda, Cheektowaga and West Seneca and Hamburg to consolidate with the county at some level.
Conversely the state could tax villages, hamlets and towns to encourage them to consolidate.

Ok for all you astrology buffs....Im pretty ignorant of astrology but Buffalos progressed sign is Libra and has been in Libra for the last 20 years. Could it be that Buffalo has been trying to be so fair (which is typical of Libras) that it cant lead and make a decision (another trait of libra)....
of course the flip side of libra is being overly judgemental as symbolized by the scales but no fear of that with Buffalo....Buffalo has very little judgement in any area...and it has even less intelligence to be judgemental with....
ok...well that explains it astrologically for me hahahaha
oh and lest anyone hope for the future the next progressed sign Buffalo is to progress in Astrologically is Sagittarius...and from what I understand Sagittarius is about as ditsy, scatterbrained, bohemian of all the signs....in other words there will be alot of movement under sag but nothing will change of course with movement there is the future possibility for Buffalo to either add or lose a significant amount of population (but its hard to believe we would lose more than we have already lost)
But hey as I said....Idont know astrology other than passive reading here and there. If there are any REAL astrology buffs out there then come tell us your predictions why Buffalo is such a stupid stagnant cess pool of poverty.

The 1992 Taurus was a great car.
How about we split up Buffalo as follows: -
- Tonawanda gets everything north of the 198 and west of Colvin Ave / Parkside Ave.
- Delaware Park and the Zoo go to the County.
- Amherst gets everything east of Colvin ave / Parkside Ave and north of the 33
- Cheektowage get everything east of Fillmore Ave and South of the 198 / 33
- The Seneca nation gets everything from Michigan Ave to the west, Seneca / Swan Streets to the north, and South Park / Elk to the south.
- Lackawanna gets everything south of South Park.
- The rest becomes the Town of Buffalo. This is roughly bordered by the 198 / 33 (fillmore) / 190 / Seneca / Swan and Michigan.
The County gets control of the Erie Basin Marina, the Naval Park, Erie Canal Terminus, and the area surrounding the bridges. The rest of the waterfront is under the jurisdiction of the Town of Buffalo and the County of Erie.

This is something that was sent to me today which I would like to share with those who have orchestrated the destruction of America and Buffalo for COWARDS who send others to die in Iraq but won't go themselves and won't send their children. This is for those who have not laid their UNION brothers iinto the ground in Buffalo who died defending the city of Buffalo. This is for those guys and gals without limbs, eyes, mobility, who are in our midst. This is for those who despise every shame leader who turned this city over to slum lords from Texas and to the Native casino industry. This is for those living on nice cul du sacs and quiet neighborhoods while life long poorer residents of Buffalo have their windows and doors vibrating from the hot shots with the loud and flashy cars. This is for those who do not have good paying jobs to pay for their health care like the pompous and all mighty
Remember Lee Iacocca, the man who rescued Chrysler Corporation from its death throes? He has a new book, and here are some excerpts. Lee Iacocca Says:
'Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, 'Stay the course'
Stay the course? You've got to be kidding. This is America not the damned 'Titanic'. I'll give you a sound bite: 'Throw all the bums out!'

1. What an odd thread.
2. Bill Clinton effectively ended "welfare as we knew it" back in the 90's.
3. There's also more than one kind of welfare. There's welfare for the poor, which plenty of people get angry about. There's wefare for corporations, which fewer people get angry about. And then there's welfare for the middle class, which generally passes without comment. Wonder why.

A further clarification relating to my above comments. They should not be read as anything other than support for those who have been mained in doing their duty for this country and city. Those who are no longer whole because they stood tall are the best of the best in our country.
This city is sinking not because of the unions but because of the people who won't fight wars but will send others to do so. This is what we are sick of hearing: Let them do the fighting. Let them pay for their health care. Let them pay for their retirement. Let them compete with a billion Chinese workers. Let them eat cake.

I am so angry about Iraq that I am going to post my thoughts to every anonymous message board in the area. I'll even throw in some key phrases like Union brothers just to connect with people! Give me a break! If you want to organize then organize, but posting a canned paragraph from one of the wealthiest men in America who owes a great deal of his success to lobbyists who brought him a huge cash infusion from the government is ludicrous.
BTW, we haven't read Bill Cosby's comments on youth of today or Jack Daniel's thoughts on immigration, would you mind posting them here? Thanks!
