Attention all restaurants!
The Taste of Buffalo is now accepting applications from area restaurants that may be interested in participating in the annual food festival. The 23rd annual Taste of Buffalo is set for July 7 and 8, 2007 along Delaware Avenue and throughout Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo. The Taste is the nation,Aeos second largest food festival, attracting more than 400,000 people annually to the event. All participating restaurants must have at least one "healthy choice" food item ,Aei food that is pre-screened by Independent Health officials to make sure it fits the standards of being health conscious.
The Taste of Buffalo is the first major food festival in the country to enforce this policy and Independent Health Foundation will be offering cash prizes to the top three healthy choice items at the 2007 Taste. All interested restaurants must submit an application by March 1, 2007. Applications can be downloaded at www.TasteofBuffalo.com or restaurants can obtain a copy by contacting Mary Jo Wiepert, restaurant committee co-chairman at 716-832-2790.

It's great to see stylish, hip, new restaurants pop up downtown such as Sea Bar on Ellicott Street, which specializes in contemporary Japanese food. A clean ultra-modern space, Sea Bar’s dining room is quaint and inviting. The sleek sushi bar has counter seating and the wet bar, with beer, sake, and wine, has at least 10 sakes to choose from on any given night.
