the_lodge_test_web_site024005.jpg If you've ever driven by this circa 1925 masonic lodge and wondered what went on behind the massive columns, now is your chance to get a peek at the beautiful architecture within. This weekend September 16-17, 2006, get down to Cazenovia Street for the 2nd Annual South Buffalo Art and Antique Festival. This festival is held in the historic Buffalo Lodge #846 now known as The Lodge Auction House.

This years Art and Antique Festival will include the work of Roycrofters, artisans acknowledged worldwide for their extraordinary craftsmanship. The Roycroft Campus is in East Aurora and was founded by the writer and philosopher Elbert Hubbard.

Well have an eclectic mix of fine art, photography, jewelry, pottery, glass and metal works, as well as antiques and unique gifts, said Lisa Eoannou, one of the proprietors of The Lodge Auction House, which hosted the inaugural art show last fall. Visitors will also enjoy live entertainment and refreshments.

The Lodge Auction House is fast becoming Buffalos premier antique and collectables auction gallery. It also features three banquet rooms (accomodating 75 - 225 guests) perfect for weddings, parties, showers, banquets, and other social gatherings. Their auction business, brings over 25 years experience in consigning, appraising and selling fine antiques and collectibles. Auctioneer Steve Phillips has been in the antique business for 22 years.

Partners in planning the event are New York State Assemblyman Mark J.F. Schroeder, The Roycrofters, The Lodge Auction House, and The Greater South Buffalo Chamber of Commerce. Sponsors include Assemblyman Mark Schroeder, Mercy Hospital, HSBC, Bank of America, Chick-n-Pizza Works, and Honeywell.

    it's worth the short ride just to see the inerior of this iincredible building and its centerpiece chandelier -- you'll never see one like this again.

    Oh, and I'm sure the antiques and art will be top notch too.
