http://archive.buffalorising.com/city/archives/upload/2006/08/Buffalo-Invitation.doc-thumb.jpg Saturday, September 9th: Come celebrate their incredible new venture in the City of Buffalo. They're rolling out the welcome mat for anyone who would like to tour the building and join in on a big party... one you won't want to miss. There is going to be a ceremonial ground breaking by a group of local artists - the artists will dig with shovels that they are in the process of turning into works of art. On top of that the event coordinators are going to provide entertainment, and refreshments will be served to the guests.

Come meet the people that are investing in this incredible Buffalo boosting development. Artspace is another reason to be excited about city living. The event kicks off at 1pm and ends at 3pm. Artspace is located at 1219 Main Street. If you are not familiar with the project, click here. Parking for the party can be found behind the Belmont Shelter Corporation at the intersection of Coe and Main Street.

See, who said Belmont Shelter Corp didn't need more parking?

Thank goodness this invitation sets out where people can park. Too bad it doesn't say that the Summer/Best Metro Station is the most convenient, or list the bus routes the site is on.

Id like to ask members of artspace to make a consideration for the benefit of Buffalo as we welcome this and hopefully more expansion and projects in the future.

There is a great need to bring back some of Buffalo's lost treasures of which the Pan Am Exhibit and the Central Terminal are two that most visibly come to mind and Im sure that there are a few others.

Im sure that if an artist wanted to bring some of our rich history back to life for everyone to experience then a way would be found to finance their work, whether through philanthopy or donations, Buffalonians would rally around a worthy cause.
