Alternative Medicine 101

Alternative medicine is beginning to gain popularity and acceptance. I envision a different type of spa coming our way in the near future- mark my words! People are going to reserve 30-60 minutes of their day per month in order to treat themselves to an aura cleansing or chakra/energy alignment. I, being a certified energy healer, know that I am opening myself up to all sorts of skepticism by writing this article. I am not here to try to change anyoneis belief system. I was just as skeptical prior to certification and believe that dissent is good- so I welcome and even encourage it. My goal with Alt-Med posts is to bring together and expose Buffalois Alternative & Holistic Medicine modalities, educate and learn myself.
Alternative Medicine is often used by the general public and some healthcare practitioners to refer to medical techniques which are not known or accepted by the majority of iconventionali or iallopathici medical practitioners (usually M.D.is). Such techniques could include non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical techniques such as Medical Herbalism, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Quantum Touch AE, Reiki and many others.
I have been part of a bunch of incredible/unbelievable healings that I will share from time to time. In energy healing the healer is actually the client. The human body has an infinite intelligence and a remarkable ability to heal itself. I just worked on a client this past week that had severely unbalanced hips, and issues with her stomach muscles. She had no luck with massage therapy or a chiropractor and was in a great deal of pain. She was amazed at the feeling coming from my hands (some people feel tingly- some heat and others feel like they have been sub-merged in vapor rub). Needless to say she felt 100% better after the treatment and continued feeling great when I followed up the next day. Her hips prior to treatment were uneven at a very noticeable approximate 20 degree angle differenceOeafter the treatment they were almost perfectOethe next dayOeunnoticeable.
If you or any of your friends, relatives, neighbors et cetera are involved in Alternative Medicine in Buffalo please e-mail me at jim@integrityenergyhealing.com. I would like to expose Buffalonians et al to complementary ways of improving health. Currently Alternative Medicine is more widely accepted in Canada and Europe- I plan on changing that! I see Buffalo as a destination for arts, entertainment and soon to be- Alternative Healing! Watch out for future posts on Alternative Medicine and feel free to e-mail me with ANY questions related to energy healing.

Though it may only be the fifth time since 1992 that the Albright-Knox Art Galley has increased its admission rate, the higher fee speaks to the changing face of our society and economy. To keep the gallery in good financial health, it is necessary to increase the price of a regular adult admission ticket from $10 up to $12. The new price will go into effect on January 1st 2009.
The director of the gallery, Louis Grachos, has said that due to higher costs in all areas of the gall …
French satire from the 1600's feels like falling asleep in high school english class. But classic French satire with a rock and roll band? That sounds better. We can thank Andy Liegl for this bold modernity on December 26th when his production of Such Foolish Affected Ladies opens at the Alt Theatre. The original play calls for violinists but this role has been liberally opened up to local band The Nepenthe. "I wanted an indie rock sound, something that my generation can click wit …
It’s funny how history seems to repeat itself. Florence Foster Jenkins was in the elite member of society, but terribly eccentric and utterly convinced that she was a great coloratura soprano – despite the fact that she couldn’t carry a tune for even a few notes. She even managed to hold a sold out concert, even though she couldn’t sing! Sound familiar? Remember William Hung?
Jenkins’ story happened over 50 years ago. She would hold annual recitals in the Ritz Carlton h …
What could be more perfect to spread the news about local artists at the Buffalo Indie Market than a literary magazine that features works from local artists? NOMAD is a new magazine set to debut in January 2009 that will feature writers, poets, photographers, artists, and designers from the area. Erica Eichelkraut, a freelance photographer, created NOMAD and is bringing it to the public. Since Eichelkraut is a part of the Buffalo Indie Market, it wasn’t long before a collaborat …

I think this is a great idea...Buffalo has a lot going on involving alternative medicine/holistic health and it would be great to have community dialogue regarding these practice (especially with Buffalo's environment of western medical training)...I run into people all the time that are doing interesting things in the field...I'll send you links/contacts as I come across them...

I think it's great.. I personally have experienced what energy healing can do - thanks to you and am thankful that you have opened me up to this type of medicine. My injured shoulder has never felt better and I truly believe that you have a gift. Keep healing and exposing people to this wonderful alternative to traditional medicine.

I would be catagorized as a reformed sceptic. When I was diagnosed with spinal arthritis a few years ago, it was with an 'I'm sorry'. A condition that only grows more painful and crippling. Yoga did offer the only relief for my condition...for awhile. It is difficult to imagine the pain. I am so grateful, and still amazed at the affects of quantum touch. One does not even have to believe it works...it just does. My family is witness to the real life difference in me. Pain free and strength and mobility is wonderful! Thank You!
